NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Healthcare reform may take preference to student aid legislation, according to Fitch Ratings in its latest edition of 'The Student Loan Report Card'.

In September, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Student Aid Financial Responsibility Act of 2009 (SAFRA). The bill has since been referred to the Senate, but no significant movement has occurred thus far.

In this edition, Fitch provides a recap of the recent legislation aimed at private student loans, and trust performance is also discussed. In the quarter, rating actions were limited to the assignment of Rating Outlooks and Loss Severity ratings.
