Associate of Applied Science
Accounting, A.A.S.
Program description: Accounting is a core program for any educational institution that is serious about business, and it's no different at National American University. The Associate of Applied Science degree in Accounting provides specialized education for various entry-level positions in the accounting profession. It's also designed for easy transfer into the bachelor's degree in accounting. Program Description: The Associate of Applied Science degree in Applied Management is designed to meet the needs of individuals who have acquired occupationally-related training at community colleges, technical institutes, military service schools, or industry-related schools in business, health, or a technical field. Credit may be granted for work in these areas toward your Associate degree.
Business Administration, A.A.S.
Program Description: This specialized Associate of Applied Science degree program emphasizes an understanding of business and an introduction to the use of computers in business. Once you complete this program, you can choose to continue in the Bachelor of Science degree program in Business Administration with a general concentration or focus on information technology, financial management, international business, management, or marketing.
Information Technology, A.A.S.
Program Description: This two-year program of study leads to an Associate of Applied Science degree and is designed to provide education for various entry-level positions in the information systems field. You will work with your advisor to design a program in your area of interest such as programming, database administration, Microsoft networking or software applications. As a graduate, you'll be qualified for a career in areas such as computer programmer, programmer/operators, database administrators and networking or microcomputer specialists.
Medical Staff Services Management, A.A.S.
Program Description: The Medical Staff Services Management (MSSM) degree is designed to prepare graduates to work in a hospital or health care facility as a credentialing expert. A certified MSSM is qualified to become an integral part of health care administration that would be responsible for: managing compliance, adherence to government bylaws, credentialing of staff, operations management (staffing, budgets, database administration, etc.), continuing education, and upholding organizational policies, procedures, and regulations. The coursework for the MSSM program helps prepare you for the Certified Professional in Medical Services Management or the Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist examinations which are recognized as the standard in the medical services profession and are a symbol of excellence within the industry. Earning these credentials signifies that an individual has demonstrated the knowledge and skills required to perform competently in today's complex medical credentialing environment.
Bachelor's Degree
Accounting, B.S.
Accounting is a core program for any educational institution that is serious about business, and it's no different at National American University. The Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree program is an excellent program that provides students with the preparation needed to sit for the certified managerial accounting (CMA) exam as well as the certified public accountant (CPA) exam in those states not requiring the fifth year of education. Students planning to take the exam in these states will take the CPA review courses as part of their undergraduate degree.
