Keiser University online programs are web-based courses, designed by qualified faculty and staff to create an interesting, interactive learning environment. Accounting, AA
The Keiser University Associate of Arts program with a major in Accounting provides students with an understanding of accounting methods, management skills, and business knowledge necessary to prosper in today’s business environment. Students learn the computer and software applications skills needed to succeed in positions such as: junior accountant or auditor, automated records or payroll clerk, junior accounts receivable or tax preparation clerk. This program will enhance employment and promotion potential and prepare students for transfer to four-year degree programs.

Keiser University offers an Associate of Arts in Business Administration that provides a foundation in accounting, management and business. Graduates will be prepared for positions such as managers, assistant managers or supervisors in a variety of business sectors. Students may transfer to a 4-year bachelor's degree program, which is also offered through Keiser University eCampus online. Coursework includes computer and software training and an emphasis on decision-making and management skills needed for success in business administration.

Computer Networking & Security Management,AS
Computer Networking and Security Management is one of the top five fastest growing occupations through 2012*. Keiser University eCampus offers this degree program online that combines network and computer systems administration with the latest in computer and cyber security. Students will learn to support an organization's LAN (local-area network), WAN (wide-area network), Internet or intranet system. Career opportunities include onsite administrative support for network users in a variety of work environments. Network administrators maintain network hardware and software, analyze problems, monitor the network, gather data to identify customer needs and then use that information to identify and evaluate system requirements. They may educate users on computer security, install security software, respond to cyber attacks, and investigate security breaches and cyber crime. Graduates will be prepared to sit for exams to achieve vendor certification in Linux, Novell, Cisco, Microsoft and more.

Criminal Justice, AA
If you are interested in a career in criminal justice, the associate degree program introduces students to all aspects of the American Criminal Justice system that includes criminal psychology, crimes and laws, investigation, arrests, prosecution, punishment and rehabilitation. This program integrates directly with our bachelor's program and graduates may transfer to four-year degree programs. Courses provide the foundation to enter the fast-growing field of criminal justice and careers such as corrections officers, police and sheriff patrol officers, investigators and crime analysts. The A.A. program is also designed to enhance opportunities for advancement for those currently in the criminal justice field.

Health Services Administration, AA
Our program in Health Services Administration provides the foundation for a career in this fast-growing field and 3.5 million new jobs are projected by 2012*. Students will be prepared for positions such as physicians' office managers, assistant managers of physicians' offices, supervisors in health care organizations and other administrative assignments in hospitals, outpatient care centers, diagnostic laboratories and other medical services environments. Coursework provides an understanding of business administration, management skills and health services knowledge, and also prepares students for transfer to 4-year degree programs.

Homeland Security, AA
The Associate of Arts Degree with a major in Homeland Security provides a comprehensive review of the Department of Homeland Security, it's agencies, laws, authorities and actions. This program prepares the student for entry-level positions in law enforcement, security, protective services, and other such careers in local, state, or federal jurisdictional arenas. Courses in hazardous materials identification and handling are presented, as are courses on domestic and international terrorism. Acts of terrorism and the response and recovery actions of Homeland Security agencies are detailed, including the laws and other legislative actions taken to give authority to the multiple agencies involved.

Medical Assistant, AS
Expansion in the health services industry and technological advances in medicine have increased the demand for multi-skilled medical assistants that handle both administrative and clinical duties. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, medical assisting is projected to be the fastest growing occupation through 2012.* Students are trained for patient care duties such as preparation of examination rooms, taking vital signs, minor surgical procedure assistance, injections, venipuncture, lab operations, X-Rays and electrocardiograms. Students receive clinical practice at a healthcare facility in their community Administrative training includes patient records, billing, appointments, ordering supplies and handling insurance claims. Paralegal, AA
Train to become an essential and vital part of any legal team. A paralegal or legal, or law assistant is supervised by an attorney and drafts documents and motions which are filed in court, interviews clients and witnesses, manages cases and gathers evidence and legal research. Students will study and become adept in legal research, writing analysis, the interviewing of clients and witnesses, fact gathering, summarizing trial evidence, estate administration, and property transfer. Students will also learn to form corporations and partnerships, conduct and participate in real estate closings, draft leases, examine mortgages, handle landlord/tenant relations, draft contracts, partake of product liability and personal injury cases, as well as participate in other civil and criminal cases. Accounting, BA
This online program focuses on accounting skills needed in today’s business environment. The program provides a basic understanding of business and addresses the unique skills needed by an accountant through the use of case studies, projects, and personal computers incorporating various software packages. Topics include accounting in the areas of finance, management, auditing and taxes. Graduates of the Bachelor of Arts in Accounting program may elect to pursue a fifth year of study to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Accounting, which provides much of the academic background necessary to pursue certification in public accounting (CPA).

The BA degree with a major in Health Services Administration focuses on skills students need in today's health care industry. In addition to providing a basic understanding of Health Services, the program looks at the unique skills needed by a Health Service Administrator through case studies, projects and related computer software applications. Topics include Coding and Billing, Public and Private Heath Care, and Financial and Legal Issues in Health Care. Management Information Systems (MIS), BS
Keiser University's Management Information Systems (MIS) program provides students with business and technology skills to be able to manage data systems and meet business challenges using information technology tools. Tools include computer hardware, operating systems, networking, programming, and database management systems. Application of the tools includes distributed information systems, system analysis, system design, and decision support systems. Material covered in the classroom will prepare students to sit for up to six Professional Certifications as well as enable graduates to pursue both technical and managerial careers in organizations that incorporate leading edge technologies.

Criminal Justice, BA
The Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice is designed for students who want to enter or advance in their careers in law enforcement, Homeland Security, forensic science or related fields that help your community and nation. Instruction covers current criminal justice issues such as law enforcement operations, the courts and correctional institutions, private investigations and victim and juvenile counseling. Junior and senior year coursework includes terrorism, cyber- and white-collar crime, drug control and forensic science. Students will gain exposure to the latest applied technology and interact with practitioners in criminal justice. Career opportunities include work in police agencies, private investigation agencies, state, federal and county corrections and probations offices and corporate loss prevention departments.
